Rules
- Each team consists of 2 students.
- The team can decide which student will participate in which round.
- Only one team per school.
- This competition consists of three rounds.
- Each participant will be provided with a Rubik’s cube and a timer.
- The cube will be covered with a black box.
- By default, standard WCA rules will be followed if not mentioned.
- Round-1: Speed Solving
- In this round the participants will be given a 3x3 ordinary Rubik’s cube.
- The team can decide which participant will represent their team in each round.
- Three participants will solve the cube simultaneously.
- Fifteen seconds will be provided to analyse the cube.
- The timer will be provided to the participants. They must start and stop the timer by themselves.
- Each participant will be given three chances to solve the cube. The average of all the timings will be considered as the final one.
- The top 10 teams with the best timings will move to the next round.
- Round-2: Carbon Cube
- In this round the qualified participants will be given a 3x3 carbon cube.
- After the reveal of the cube from the black box, 20 seconds will be given to analyse the cube.
- Only one chance will be given to solve the cube.
- 6 teams having the best timings qualify to the 3rd round.
- Round-3: The Finals
- The final round consists of two parts.
- Part 1: Theme Solving
- Each face of the Rubik’s cube will consist of items from a particular theme (eg: one face consisting of pictures of different devices, another face with stationary items, etc).
- The cube will be scrambled and given.
- The participants will have to figure out the theme and solve the cube in such a way that all the objects of a certain theme are on one face of the cube.
- 30 seconds will be provided to analyse the cube.
- Four teams with the best timing move to the second part of the 3rd round.
- Part 2: Face Solving
- In this round a cube with the faces of famous personalities will be scrambled and given.
- The participants will have to identify the famous personalities to solve the cube.
- Each face of the cube should consist of the full face of the famous personality.
- 40 seconds will be given to analyse the cube.
- The top 3 participants with the best timing will be the winners.
